    Verdict

Notnowcato showed progressive form last season and Sir Michael Stoute's horse is taken to make a winning return and gets the vote ahead of Red Rocks and Kandidate. The last mentioned receives 4lbs from the selection and has to be respected on his first outing in the UK of the campaign having had two runs in Dubai; however, Clive Brittain's five-year-old is arguably better on the sand than on turf. Art Deco was highly tried last term but would need to improve on all known form to trouble the judge, while Mashaahed has yet to prove himself in this class. St Leger third and Breeders' Cup Turf winner Red Rocks has plenty of ability but he may find the trip on the short side for him so preference is for the progressive Notnowcato.
