In depth

Verdict

Woodnook looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to resume winning ways and is taken to do just that with Cheney Hill and Bahamian Duke rated the main dangers. The selection has been running consistently well and this looks an easier assignment than some of the races that he has been contesting of late. Smooch has given little cause for optimism of late, while Welcome Approach should appreciate the return to the minimum trip having struggled over six furlongs last time. Cheney Hill is less exposed than most and could be open to more improvement, while Bahamian Duke is another that may do better back in trip. Woodnook has been running consistently well of late though and is taken to gain a deserved success.
