Verdict

Richard Hannon juveniles invariably improve considerably for debut runs so more is expected of his trio with Bathsheba Bay, Sotomayor and Galactic preferred in that order. However, there are some interesting newcomers on show and the booking of Silvestre De Sousa for RED MIST, a son of the mighty Frankel, takes the eye and he is just preferred to the well-bred Bold Reason for the Gosden/Dettori combination. As usual in such contests, the market should provide valuable pointers, with Sam Gold, Blue Laureate and northern raider Wax And Wane all needing a check in the betting.
