Muthabara can ensure that lightning strikes twice for John Dunlop, with Gypsy Baby, Shaker, Yasinisi, Hobby and Sourire all making for a competitive Listed contest on paper. Having gone off as the owner's second-string at Newbury last month, Muthabara bolted up to the tune of five-lengths, and now attempts to emulate stablemate Sudoor, who captured the same maiden en-route to landing today's prize. She faces a pretty strong field of improvers here, but can prove up to the task. Richard Hannon saddles both narrow Kempton maiden winner Rescue Me and the more experienced Gypsy Baby who showed that she could handle cut when sauntering home at Folkestone. She may not have beaten much then but is entered for the Moyglare Stud Stakes at The Curragh, so is obviously held in high regard. Shaker has the Goffs Sales race as her main target, and judged by the way that she overcame a slow start to oblige on her Yarmouth bow, there is much more in the locker. Yasinisi acquitted herself well in Listed company at Newmarket last time, and Hobby was still a bit green when making a successful debut at Warwick. Throw in Sourire, whose Catterick win over Gothenburg has been advertised and you have the makings of a terrific contest, and one in which Muthabara may have the best chance.
