A tough handicap to start proceedings but Fox Leicester landed the odds in novice company at Chelmsford in good style on his reappearance and should be competitive at this level. Masaru takes a bigger jump in class having defied a penalty at Kempton last time though Ryan Moore is on board today but REGGAE RUNNER has the best proven form in this grade. Beaten only a neck at Musselburgh on last week’s handicap debut, Mark Johnston’s colt can go one better with any further progress. Reeves was still well beaten when second at Newbury and races over a mile for the first time along with the returning House Of Kings, a winner over 7f at Leicester in September. Ours Puissant was placed in a Listed contest in France last term while Migration, Lestrade and Starfighter all make their handicap debuts having placed in lesser company.
