HALLSTATT is our idea of the most likely winner with Dancourt and Rayhani others worthy of note. Mark Johnston's charge has become a tad frustrating for his followers but he has run three entirely creditable races in the last few weeks and provided that they haven't taken the edge off him, this race offers a major chance of compensation. Dancourt won well at Newmarket over a mile and has been raised 6lb for that success. He should stay the extra couple of furlongs though expect him to be priced accordingly. David Nicholls has done well with others castoffs and he will be returning the ex-Marcus Tregoning trained, Rayhani, to the track. The ground is something of an imponderable though the handicapper has played his part by dropping him 8lbs since his last start. Summer Winds appears sure to be up there from flagfall and seemed to experience few problems with the prevailing going at Newmarket in June. He holds Wiggy Smith on that line of form. Barliffey's only win has been on an artificial surface so there is something to prove on turf. Press The Button and Aviso have disappointed of late. Hallstatt is given a final chance to gain an overdue maiden success.
