DUBAI SET gets the vote in the opener and he is preferred to Kakapuka and Panpiper. The selection has looked a progressive colt in each of his three runs to date and although he found one too good last time at Windsor, he did pull well clear of the remainder that day. He is a brother to the useful Saxford and although the draw counts against him here, he could still be good enough to get his head in front. Kakapuka looks the main danger as he was well beaten on his debut but he showed improved form at Nottingham last time when he finished third behind Danny's Choice. He will probably do better over further in time but if he can improve again then he may be up to taking a hand in the finish. Panpiper does have the benefit of a good draw and there should be more to come from him on the evidence of his most recent run at Brighton when he ran very green. Avongate was well beaten on his debut and he will need to find dramatic improvement to get competitive. We prefer the claims of his stablemate Dubai Set who should take all the beating.
