Probably not much strength in depth here, but Fourth Dimension sets the standard and he may be good enough to give the weight away. Alec Stewart's four-year-old looked to turn in his best effort last time over course and distance, where he failed by just over a length to give subsequent Ascot Stakes winner Sindapour 11lbs. There was certainly no disgrace in defeat and as this looks less competitive, he is a confident choice. The lightly-weighted Forever My Lord, comes into the reckoning and will be more at home over this trip, having not quite seen the two miles out at Lingfield last week. However, the Handicapper has seen fit to put him up 13lbs for having finished second to River Of Fire, the last time he raced on grass, which could just anchor him. Sudden Flight seems to have two ways of running nowadays and there is a suspicion he may prefer the All-Weather to turf, while the visored Trained By The Best would have a chance on his best form, but he failed miserably over timber during the winter and may be one to watch for the time being. Alrida needs a strongly run race to bring out the best in him, something he is unlikely to get here, while Big Bertha has more to do off this 6lbs higher mark than when winning on the Polytrack. The main threat should come from Splash Out Again. Using Sergeant Cecil as a guide, he is closely matched with Fourth Dimension, but as that was only the second outing this term for the latter, he may just have that bit more improvement in him.
