A poor contest to get the evening underway at the Oadby track, and few of these can be seriously fancied. Spinsky has the highest handicap mark of 71, but certainly looks flattered by her rating. A useful juvenile, she looked to have a bright future when winning a valuable nursery at Newmarket, nearly a year ago, and wasn't disgraced in a similar contest afterwards. However, she has yet to beat a rival this term in her two outings to date, and has yet to convince she has trained on. This looks set to go to Weet A Mo, who steps down to this level for the first time. Reg Hollingshead's gelding has been a shade disappointing since finishing third over course and distance to Tropical Island, who was completing a hat-trick and a repetition of that effort would be more than good enough to take this. Tirailleur has plenty of form at this level, but there has to be a doubt about him over this trip. Others of interest include Lady Percy, who turned in her best effort last time over the 11-furlongs at Warwick, but she may find one or two of these too sharp for her at this trip, while Northern Friend, who was well supported in that Warwick race, finished well down the field, but it wouldn't be the biggest surprise if he reversed the form with Lady Percy, as he will be much better suited by this shorter trip. However, Weet A Mo is expected to take advantage of the drop in class and can prove too strong for his rivals.
