An ordinary claimer to start off at the Esher track and not many can be seriously fancied on these terms. Claimed by Philip Mitchell for ¿9,000 after winning at Folkestone, Jools hasn't taken long to start repaying the faith shown in him, by following up at Epsom, as well as filling the runner-up spot at Lingfield. Unlike the majority of his rivals, he does know how to win (seven victories to his name), and with Darryll Holland again taking the reins, he is the one they all have to beat. Successful when last seen in claiming company, Paso Doble can provide the main danger. Although he has yet to win on turf, he does have several decent efforts to his name on fast ground, including when just touched off by Noble Calling off a mark of 60 at Newbury last month, form of which leaves him with something to find with the selection on these terms. Tintawn Gold has struggled over various trips this year, but she did show a bit more last time on her first attempt at this trip, and cannot be left out of calculations. Seattle Express has been disappointing since making a winning debut on the polytrack, but if the blinkers have the desired effect, he could also come into the reckoning. However, Jools comes here in good form, is proven on fast ground, and while there is a doubt about the trip, he is worth taking a chance with.
