In depth

Verdict

Nuts Well was clearly out of his depth in a Grade 1 at Aintree but is a past winner at this level. SAINT CALVADOS (NAP) ran in another Grade 1 at Aintree but only managed fifth. However, he did fare better than Mister Fisher, who was pulled up as he was in the King George at Kempton in December when the selection finished third. Erne River is an exciting novice but has a mountain to climb on official ratings.
