    Verdict

Big prices are available for several of these in the Derby betting including YIBIR. The latter was last seen beating a subsequent Listed winner in a conditions' race at Newbury in September and this extra distance will suit. Charlie Appleby’s yard has hit a purple patch and the selection’s stablemate Adayar is preferred to a third Godolphin runner in Trawlerman while Lone Eagle is not out of this either having beaten Recovery Run to land a Group 3 over today’s trip at Newmarket in October. Ballydoyle send over Sir Lucan, who beat a Group 3 winner at Cork and will relish this longer trip, while Solario Stakes winner Etonian and Listed winner Belloccio make more appeal than Alenquer and Irish Legend of the remainder.
