Verdict

There was little separating Shall We and Pleasure Dome at Chelmsford in November despite the former finishing a couple of places ahead. So a chance is taken on HIGH HOPES, unfancied on her debut at Newbury last year but still finishing second with a subsequent winner behind. She is preferred to stablemate Disquotational but some of the other newcomers take the eye. John Gosden runs the $1.45 million purchase Eyeshine and also Taqaareed, a sister to the brilliant King George heroine Taghrooda. Final Stage is out of a prolific dam and can include Group 1 winners Mastery and Kirkless among winning relatives while Bonchard is a half-sister to three winners and another to note.
