      Verdict

Plenty of debutants take to the turf for this maiden so a market check may offer up the clues but we tip COUNT LUCIEN for debut success with challenges from Racing Hero and Speikeroog. The selection comes fresh from the yard of John Gosden who continue in good form. Racing Hero and Spikeroog also make their first appearances today and can do well in this company. On pedigree the former is the pick, being by Montjeu out of Aim For The Top. Bugaku is a fascinating runner for his powerful yard. Unraced since a beaten favourite on his racecourse debut as a juvenile, it has to be significant that connections are persevering with him.
