Wait For The Will might be worth chancing here, with his main rivals seen as Marias Magic and Blackmail. The selection has never won beyond 12 furlongs but could well prove up to remedying that tonight. On his best winning form, he certainly has claims on ratings, while the best of his recent efforts show that he can get competitive at this level. We shall side with him, then, in a fairly run-of-the-mill race. Marias Magic rates as a big danger as, being from a stable in fine form, she showed a liking for the step up in trip when running well at Hamilton five days ago. Despite being three pounds out of the weights, the in-form Blackmail could yet prove competitive over tonight's longer trip, which will be new to him, while Rome's best recent-ish Turf effort came over course and distance last June, although overall he has a bit to prove based on more-recent efforts. Considine is five pounds above a winning mark, although he does at least stay this trip well, while Bucks has dropped to a competitive mark but lacks a run this season. Finally, winning hurdler McBain is reasonably weighted based on his winning Flat form of 2002, so a good run would not be a shock. Overall, though, we will plump for Wait For The Will.
