A race full of improving types but this could go to the newcomer Statement from Sir Michael Stoute's powerful yard. Well-bred by Singspiel out of a mare with a staying pedigree he will need to be top of his game here but with an entry in a Group 1 race later in the year he is obviously well regarded. Al Jadeed is another with a string of Group entries and he pleased with the manner of his Newbury victory last month. He will need to step up on that effort to win this but seemed to enjoy the firmish ground on his last two appearances. Love Is Blind has arguably the best form in the race with the form of his last two outings working out well. He improved for the step up to this trip last time out when going down narrowly under topweight in a competitive nursery at Haydock. Wathiq is another who has shown progressive form - putting up his best effort in defeat last time out. He looks well held by Love Is Blind on that run. Binanti won a weak maiden at Southwell on the all-weather last time out and although the form looks fairly solid the time of the race was slow.
