Verdict

LAIDBACK ROMEO is on a roll for Clive Cox as he goes in search of a fourth straight win and a third over course and distance. He has always performed well at the Esher circuit and is taken to confirm placings with Greenside and Sir Roderic who chased him home here the last day despite the latter pair being better off at the weights. Home Cummins was right back to form last time when a strong-finishing third to G K Chesterton and Mythical Madness, the latter having franked the form with a brave win off topweight at Haydock on Thursday evening. The Fahey team continues to churn out the winners and the daughter of Rip Van Winkle should be in the mix. The Warrior finds winning difficult but has place claims here after a close-up and unfortunate fifth at Goodwood latest.
