Verdict

The usual mixed bunch are in attendance for this prestigious and historic amateur riders’ chase. Jody Sole’s mounts are usually worth a second look but Cody Wyoming was among the first beaten in a veterans’ handicap here last month. Troika Steppes is an uncomplicated ride and could have a few of these on the stretch if getting into a rhythm but Ardkilly Witness and Renard have a bit to prove at present. RATHLIN ROSE was returning from a lengthy absence when fourth at Newbury last month. There’s always a danger that he won't reproduce that form on his second start back but he is the pick of the weights.
