        Verdict

        A tricky opener given Bowban has been placed in both starts so far and Saxon Flames showed promise over 7f at Lingfield on his debut. Excel Again also has a shout having found only one too good on his introduction at Kempton but a chance is taken on SPIRITOFHAYTON. The latter finished well ahead of Elite Icon when going close over track and trip on his debut and David Barron’s colt should be in the mix once again on that evidence.
