      Verdict

A really interesting maiden where ANGELIC UPSTART may prove good enough on debut. Andrew Balding is double-handed in the race, and although Discoteca is related to winners his pedigree suggests that he will fare better with another winter under his belt. However, his stable companion is a colt by Singspiel, who can sire some very good juveniles, and he should be suited by both trip and ground for starters. With a man on board who knows all about good two-year-olds we will side with him. Miss Diagnosis is also likely to prove better with age, while Dark And Dangerous also looks destined for other days. The pick of those to have run is likely to be Mutayaser, who should be better for the experience and step up in trip and is feared. Masked Marvel has a lovely pedigree and is from a red hot yard so is another to strongly consider though we'll chance Angelic Upstart.
