Few have encountered ground this testing before but KURIOUS appeared to act in the soft going at Newmarket at the end of last season. She was giving weight to Leodis Dream when beaten a head over track and trip in April and Henry Candy’s filly could go close despite the unfavourable terms. Well Done Fox won at this level last year and will be sharper for last month’s outing in a Group 3 at Ascot. But his form is all on fast ground and the same comment applies to the progressive Street Parade, who returned to action with a handicap success at Windsor. This is easier than Pocket Dynamo’s recent tasks though he’s yet to match last summer’s second in the Norfolk Stakes at Ascot and the remainder have plenty to prove in this grade including the French raider El Guanche, who has yet to race over the minimum trip.
El Guanche (FR) (9-3) won at Maisons-Laffitte 6f stks gd in May beating Kenbaio (8-12) by shd, 8 ran.
