Timber Treasure can make experience count over Viva Vettori, Al Naahadth and Sharp Dresser, with newcomer Mythical Story worth noting for the future. Timber Treasure has already had more opportunities than most, having been seen out three times this term so far. Henry Cecil's charge sported a first-time visor at Ripon where he chased home the odds-on Fidelia, and with the aids left on, can hopefully make this step up in trip pay off. Viva Vettori ran green on his recent Newmarket debut, but that did not stop him from shaping with a good deal of promise in third, and he too tackles a slightly longer trip. David Elsworth's colt should have a fitness edge over Sharp Dresser at least, but the latter caught the eye on her Lingfield bow last October, and is yet another that will prove more effective over this sort of trip. Top class breeding and an expensive purchase tag are no guarantees of instant success, as Al Naahadth proved on his Windsor bow last month. A son of Storm Cat out of a Breeders' Cup Distaff winner, he cost no less than $3 million as a yearling, but will have to go some to justify the hype based on his debut. Mythical Story cost nowhere near as much, but is related to Melbourne Cup winner Jeune on the dam's side, so should have enough stamina to make her mark in maiden company at least. Timber Treasure makes most appeal.
