Hazeymm showed great promise when finding just Godolphin's Extreme Measures too good in a Newbury maiden last month and, with today's softer surface likely to suit, he is taken to get the better of another Godolphin inmate Distinctive Voice and Cool Customer. The last mentioned is a well-bred son of Gone West but Ed Dunlop's colt is far from certain to handle the cut in the ground and comes from a stable that has very few first time out juvenile winners anyway. Shady Minstrel showed improved form at Newcastle last time and of more interest may be John Dunlop's Persian Conqueror, who is probably better than he showed first time out. Shipmaster may improve for today's softer ground, while Ralph Beckett's Looker has a pedigree that would suggest that she would have a chance. Godolphin's Distinctive Voice obviously warrants respect but is far from certain to handle today's ground and a safer bet looks to be Hazeymm, who gets the vote.
