        Verdict

        Cornus has an obvious chance at the weights and, along with fellow three-year-old Wise Wager, has to be respected in this grade but the ground has finally come right for Seven No Trumps and Milton Bradley's eight-year-old is taken to prove to be too strong for them. The selection has run with credit on unfavourably fast ground of late and now that he encounters a softer surface can be expected to improve on recent efforts. Further Outlook has claims at the weights but is probably better on a faster surface and at the age of 11 faces no easy task against some considerably younger rivals. Red Sovereign has chances on his best but is inconsistent, while Salon Prive faces no easy task giving weight away all round. Law Breaker drops back in trip and is another to consider although a bigger threat is likely to come from Cornus, who has run well on a soft surface before and comes from a yard to be reckoned with in this grade. Soft ground is essential for Seven No Trumps though and, with the going in his favour, Milton Bradley's gelding is taken to resume winning ways.
