The market needs a close watch here given the lack of form to go on; Mick Channon, who won this race last year, sends out the one unraced one in Very Good Day, but although he makes our shortlist along with Cloudy City, we'll side with WASEET. John Dunlop's colt showed up well in a similar grade Newmarket maiden after being slowly away. This is a slight step up in trip and he looked as though he'd get further. He holds an entry for The Derby, and if progressing from his first run, could reward backers. Others are also entitled to improve too though. Cloudy City was a costly purchase from America, and Mark Johnston's horses often need their first run; he was down the field here on debut last month, but backers may give him a second chance. Likewise Richard Hannon's Gordon Flash, who couldn't master Ascot on debut, let alone the universe. Very Good Day could be absolutely anything; he doesn't have any fancy entries but given the form of trainer and jockey here, he may find some support. The betting ring can be a friend to punters here, but in the absence of clues at the moment, we'll side with Waseet.
