This should be a match between Michabo and Wait For Spring and we will take Michabo to get just the better of the argument. David Elsworth's gelding has by far the most experience of these, a fact which carries both pros and cons given that there may be less improvement in him. Nevertheless, he has been pretty consistent in his performances at this trip and a repeat of his run behind Poise at Windsor last time marks him out as the percentage choice to break his duck here. By contrast Wait For Spring has just one bit of racecourse experience to draw upon, when there were excuses for her finishing no better than fifth of thirteen over this trip at Kempton. Any improvement here would give her a decent chance too, and with no traffic problems likely this time she can go very close. None of the others have shown us anything to get excited about so far, and we will side with Michabo to prevail.
