DR LIVINGSTONE caught the eye on his reappearance and is taken to go one better at the expense of Mubrook and Wintercast. The selection ran second to Mountain Pride over course and distance last time out and has been raised 4lbs in the weights for his troubles. That does seem a little harsh but he still looks like an improver. With that run under his belt he will strip fitter and will be sharper so he is difficult to oppose. Mubrook has his first run of the season having performed well in all three of his maiden runs last season. He runs off a mark of 84 on his handicap debut which could be a fair one so any market moves should be noted. Wintercast had a year off through injury so missed out on a three-year-old career but he has run well on both his outings this season and can run well again off his current mark, however, Dr Livingstone is on the upgrade and is given the vote to win again.
