CAWDOR has run well on both his outings this season and is given the vote to score ahead of Song of Praise and Piste. The selection finished second on his seasonal reappearance at Bath and followed up with a creditable third to Gilt Edge Girl at Windsor last time out. He looks more than capable of winning off his currant mark of 74 and if producing his best he will not be far away. Song of Praise won back to back handicaps during the winter on the all weather and is possibly best suited by that surface judging on his recent form. She disappointed at Salisbury on her penultimate run, but was back to her best on the all weather at Lingfield last week so she is possibly best watched until she is back on the Polytrack. Piste is still a maiden after 10 outings but she caught the eye when second to Silky Way at Goodwood last time out. If she runs up to that level of form she is sure to be in the shake up once again.
