This is probably the best bumper to be run in the UK so far this term and plenty of decent types put their reputations on the line including Candello, Arctic Moss and Boberelle but the vote goes to Funny Times. The selection is related to the stable's useful chaser Better Times Ahead and stepped up on her debut second behind Chef de Cour when running out the convincing winner of a mares' only race at Newcastle, when having today's opponents Diklers Rose and Fortuna Favente behind. Nicky Henderson's Candello has to be respected but did not beat a great deal at Haydock last time and may not represent much in terms of value. Arctic Moss has won three of her four starts, the only blip coming when disappointing in this event 12 months ago and it may be that the daughter of Moscow Society does not handle the Esher venue. Colin Tinkler's horses are back in form now so Ludlow winner Boberelle has to be respected and is another worthy of consideration along with Michael Scudamore's Ludlow scorer Heltornic. Funny Times looks one to keep on the right side of though and she gets the vote.
