Mark Johnston's Life's Challenge created a favourable impression when making a winning debut in a Pontefract maiden last month but she is likely to find this more difficult first time in a handicap off a mark of 82 and a better bet may be SEQUILLO, who gets the vote ahead of Nbhan. Luca Cumani's colt has been placed in his last four starts, two of which have been over course and distance, and he should again be thereabouts in this company. Jeremy Noseda's Senses won his maiden here in June and has run creditably in two handicaps since then so he cannot be discounted but more solid claims are held by Henry Cecil's Something Perfect, who has run to a consistent level of form in recent starts in handicaps and is seemingly improving. He has every chance off the same mark as on his last four starts and should not be far away at the end of the race. John Gosden's Nawaadi ran better when chasing home Master Fong in a handicap over course and distance last time but a 2lb rise for that run makes this more difficult and preference is for Sequillo. Richard Hannon's colt has shown progressive form this term, including over course and distance, and he looks worth siding with to resume winning ways.
