        Verdict

        Milton Bradley's Cape Royal gained a deserved first success of the season when winning at Windsor last month but a 4lb rise for that win makes this more difficult for the nine-year-old and preference is for NOMOREBLONDES, who gets the verdict ahead of Ivory Silk. Jeremy Gask's filly was beaten behind another Milton Bradley runner in The Tatling last time but was not disgraced and earlier form when chasing home The Jobber at Salisbury reads pretty well and a reproduction of that effort would see him go close. Dazed And Amazed has the beating of Ivory Silk on running at Newbury and is another to consider on that evidence. Royal Intruder has run better of late and has to be respected but he may be a shade high in the weights and a better option looks to be Nomoreblondes. Paul Midgley's mare won with plenty in hand at Newcastle last month, being eased down inside the final furlong, and he can defy the 6lb penalty for that success.
