Richard Hannon's Top Spec ran well here over course and distance last month and looks potentially well treated as he is set to go up 5lbs in future handicaps but this looks a much tougher race and preference is for Anuvasteel, who gets the vote over High Bray. The selection had little chance in a tactical affair back over a mile at Newmarket last time and Neville Callaghan's gelding is better judged by his previous start at headquarters when running out the convincing winner of a 1m2f handicap. The four-year-old is 6lbs higher today and set to go up a further 5lbs in future weights and can defy the rise, provided that John Egan can steer a clear course. David Elsworth's High Bray has won his two starts this season and has to be respected but has been raised the best part of a stone for his latest success at Newbury and their is a suspicion that the handicapper now has his measure. Realism is potentially well treated by Richard Fahey's gelding is probably flattered by his proximity to the winner in a falsely run race last time and may be best watched, while Trew Class has more to do than when scoring at Newmarket last time. Walter Swinburn's horses are running into form now so Best Be Going, who finished second behind Trew Class at Newmarket, has claims of reversing that form but for the winner the vote goes to Anuvasteel.
