    Verdict

Mosharref can give Barry Hills another success in this event, with Very Far, Demon Docker and Minister Of State expected to figure in proceedings. Barry Hills collected this prize 12 months ago with Holiday Camp, and now saddles a progressive sort in Mosharref who still looked very green when opening his account at Pontefract three weeks ago, hanging on grimly in the end after looking as though he was going to trot up two furlongs out. The son of Alhaarth gave signs of better to come when chasing home Secret World in Newmarket's Wood Ditton in April so obviously has bags of ability, and a mark of 82 for this, his handicap debut does not look harsh. Very Far also looked like one to follow when making a winning bow at Pontefract, but failed to give weight away all round on his handicap bow at Redcar. He swished his tail under pressure and will need strong handling, but cannot be left out of calculations, given the likely improvement. Demon Docker has a 6lb penalty for a recent Leicester success, but hails from an in-form stable and should go well again, while Minister Of State's yard is ticking over nicely, and he may be galvanised by first-time cheekpieces. An interesting handicap can go to Mosharref.
