Sir Michael Stoute has won this a couple of times in recent years so DAMBUSTER who is a half-brother to six winners, most of them useful, is given the nod to make a winning start. Al Guwair represents the Cecil camp and has to be respected while Lemon Pearl only just failed to catch Raushan at Salisbury and the stiffer track should suit. Meshardal found a mile on the sharp side at Lingfield and will be more at home over this trip and Testudo and Near Time will both improve for their debuts. Thomas Hobson ran well enough at Windsor and can get involved in what should prove an informative maiden.
