Plenty with claims in a competitive handicap though it was soft going when Badenscoth scored over track and trip last time and he’s been raised 7lb. Elector won at Newmarket earlier when beating Jazeel only a neck with Exec Chef not far behind in third. The former reversed running when runner-up at Epsom subsequently and the latter has since placed again on the all-weather. BERINGER has been competing over a mile and is only 2lb higher than when successful at Newmarket in April. But Alan King’s charge won over track and trip last summer and gets the vote on that form as he drops back down in class. A dual winner in Ireland, Mutaabeq goes handicapping for the first time on his debut for a new yard and may prove best of the rest.
