Several arrive from Ascot including Rayong, who didn’t get the best of runs in the Windsor Castle and is taken to confirm running with subsequent Musselburgh winner Bill Neigh. Expressionist never recovered from missing the break in the Norfolk Stakes having won at Ascot on his debut while MAKYON led for a long way over 6f in the Coventry before fading inside the final furlong. This shorter trip should suit on that evidence and Ryan Moore, who rode the winner in the Coventry, takes over the reins. Liberty Beach finished in front of Al Raya when running well for fourth in the Queen Mary and she can figure but it was soft going when Wentworth Amigo returned a wide-margin winner in novice company here last month.
