DAR RE MI and Twice Over should dominate here and the vote goes to the wonderful John Gosden mare; Mawatheeq may get closer to Twice Over than in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Ascot. It has been three months since the Singspiel mare won the Dubai Sheema Classic in Meydan but the latest reports have been positive. Her form has such a solid look to it and this multiple Group One winning mare should have no issue with the shorter trip today or the likely quick ground. Twice Over is another Group One regular and he looked a tad unlucky when second to the fellow Khalid Abdullah-owned Byword at Ascot. This ten furlongs is definitely his trip and this dependable fellow should be suited by this small field. Mawatheeq was six lengths behind him last month but that was his first outing of the year and his trainer feels that he will come on immensely. However with the possibility of this becoming tactical backers may be hoping that his jockey gives him a more positive ride. Sri Putra has won here before but he has not cut the mustard in this grade in the past, whilst Viscount Nelson is the sole Ballydoyle representative and his solid form against his own age group this year needs improving on in the first-time visor. Zacinto also needs to improve plenty for this longer trip however there was more promise in his run behind Goldikova at Ascot although it must be said that his three-year-old form is now looking a tad ordinary. Having been indulged in recent years, this doesn't look the strongest renewal and it should lie between the top two in the betting; the race can go to the super mare Dar Re Mi.
