In depth

Verdict

John Dunlop's Nataliya, not seen since finishing a four-length seventh behind Attraction in the 1,000 Guineas, is interesting dropping into this class along with stablemate Snow Goose but Antediluvian is an improving filly and is marginally preferred. With James Given when landing her only start at two, the selection made a winning return at Hamilton last month when beating Royal Ascot winner Celtic Heroine. Admittedly the runner-up there looked a shade unlucky but the winner is going the right way and would not need to improve a great deal to win this. The William Haggas-trained Moon Dazzle is closely matched with Nataliya on a line through Attraction and rates a bigger threat than Henry Cecil's Ithaca, who is beginning to look exposed. Frankie Dettori has been booked for Richard Hannon's Kunda and she has to be respected, along with Brindisi, but Antediluvian has done nothing wrong and is taken to give the in-form Sir Michael Stoute stable another winner.
