It would be dangerous to rule out Red Admiral, who makes his reappearance off a fair mark in light of the how his form is working out and he gets a slender vote over Stronghold, who won well a fortnight ago and is respected in this company. Dubai Venture also showed a god battling attitude despite the controversy caused by the incident inside the final furlong. He should make this a good test but the form of his stable has been very much under a cloud of late. Brecon is open to improvement and is one to monitor for next time. Stronghold was entitled to win as he liked at Haydock and did it in good fashion. However, this is a tougher ask and he may be vulnerable to a less exposed type. Therefore, a chance is taken with Red Admiral, who was considered good enough to hold a Racing Post Trophy entry last year. Obviously things did not go his way for Doncaster but he remains a lively prospect for handicaps this year. The step up in trip will suit this son of Red Ransom and a bold showing cannot be ruled out from him here.
