Those that have raced have not really impressed sufficiently for a confident vote, so it can be worth chancing a small investment on newcomer Arminius, who represents a yard that do well in this sphere and, as he is a half-brother to juvenile winner Silent Tribute, this February foal may be ready to go at the first time of asking. New Art and Arabian Sea are other debutantes that are worth keeping an eye on in the betting market, while Ten Downing Street can be expected to have come on a fair bit after a respectable effort at Haydock 13 days ago. The last named did himself no favours by swerving when leaving the stalls on that occasion and a sharper exit will be very much in his favour this time. Arabian Sea appeals on breeding and can be placed to good effect as he gains in experience. Similar comments apply to New Art, who looks sure to appreciate a sterner test in due course. However, Arminius make slightly more appeal over this trip. The stiff finish will also help his cause and, as Richard Hannon's youngsters were stepped up a gear at this point last term, it will be no surprise to see this son of Shinko Forest deliver the goods tonight.
