Ex Oriente was sent off favourite for his racecourse debut at Newmarket while Sehnsucht finished third over 6f at the same track two weeks ago. But Talwar, who wasn't punished once his chance had gone when seventh at Doncaster last month, looks the better long-term prospect and will strip fitter here. Richard Hannon's juveniles are sweeping all before them at present, however, so it will be a surprise if newcomer NANT SAESON isn't in the firing-line here as sire Elusive City has produced some very speedy two-year-olds. Astraios looks the pick of Brian Meehan's pair and, along with Mick Channon's Mcvicar, could be the pick of the remainder.
