The step up to this trip looks ideal for last-time Windsor scorer YER WOMAN and she is the selection here, while Orpen Grey may present the main danger. Yer Woman beat a more strongly fancied stablemate at Windsor, and perhaps she was more forward than the Hannon yard had first thought. Pedigree suggests that whatever she achieved over the minimum trip was a bonus, and she should be better over 6f, so we are happy to side with her to follow up. Orpen Grey gave a performance of some authority when winning what was admittedly a moderate Warwick maiden earlier in the month. We won't know much about how good the form is until this race is complete, but Tom Dascombe has his runners in good shape and the colt is likely to be able to improve today. Daniella De Bruijn won a similar contest on soft ground at Haydock and was not far off following up at Chepstow. While respected, his form does not perhaps look as strong as the leading duo and the frame looks his best hope. Practitioner was a course and distance winner in a good time earlier in the month, so the form looks pretty smart and given that that was his debut there may well be a fair bit more to come. He is definite short list material, but Yer Woman gets the vote.
