A tricky finale with three last-time-out winners and no obvious standout. Of the remaining pair, Gracious George disappointed last time, as did Elnadwa who has yet to find her best this term and looks likely to struggle to reverse placings with Richard Hannon's Dashing David on recent Chepstow running. The latter put some modest efforts behind him with that success whilst stable companion Majesty was also much improved last time when landing a Warwick maiden under Pat Dobbs who retains the ride, It's tempting to go with him again but AFRICAN OIL displayed a much better attitude and winning form last time on his first outing since being gelded. The son of Royal Applause could well make up for lost time now and a mark of 82 looks acceptable.
