Verdict

Dont Dili Dali has shown progressive form of late, including when winning in the soft at Sandown last time but this looks tougher and preference is for Jeu de Mot, who gets the vote ahead of Zato and Emirates Gold. The last mentioned disappointed in the Coventry Stakes but showed something like his debut form when chasing home the useful Santiago Star at Newmarket last time and he has to be respected. Doctor Scott is bred to be useful over middle distances on a faster surface being a half-brother by Medicean to the stable's Scott's View and he is probably best watched, while the maiden Punta Galera needs to improve to trouble the judge. David Elsworth's Doctor Dash is another maiden but could be of interest tackling a softer surface for the first time although a bigger threat is likely to come from Zato, who handled the cut in the ground well in France last time but has a penalty for that race to carry. The vote then goes to John Gosden's Jeu de Mot, who handled cut in the ground when landing his maiden at Newbury in good fashion earlier this month and is taken to follow up and provide another success for his prolific sire Montjeu.
