Captain Darling won with enough in hand at Lingfield last time to suggest that he can defy the rise in the weights and is the selection ahead of Dark Shah and Honeystreet. The last mentioned has been given a chance by the handicapper off just a 2lb higher mark than when winning a selling handicap at Bath two starts ago. Dark Shah has ability but has been below par in recent outings and is probably best watched for the time being. I'm Magic is well treated on her best two-year-old form but cannot be backed with confidence on what she has shown this term. A market move for Welsh And Wylde would be interesting but Captain Darling has solid claims on Lingfield form and should be difficult to beat.
