Verdict

HAMISH MACBETH was a beaten favourite at Newmarket on his debut in May but made no mistake on a return visit to HQ four weeks ago, winning a shade cosily under hands and heels despite meeting trouble in-running. He looks capable of holding his own in decent company and may have too much for Chepstow runner-up Cosmic Power, despite conceding 6lb. Newcomer Rapidash is a £35,000 half-brother to a winner and the choice of Sean Levey ahead of the more-experienced Dreamy Rascal.
