PADDY POWER is proving a more consistent operator this term and can land a third win from the last four starts to make the trip from Yorkshire worthwhile. A rise of 9lb for those two successes is demanding without being swingeing and he did look to oblige with something to spare at Goodwood last time. He may still not be entirely straightforward but is preferred to Maygold, who will handle soft underfoot and who has not been beaten at all far the last twice. Oisin Murphy is booked by Ed Walker and she is a live danger. Youkan ran a much better race just a week ago and merits respect on that evidence, especially as he could have more to offer. Pettochside was engaged at Sandown yesterday.
