The feature event of the day and a wide open renewal for this listed contest confined to fillies. Icon Project is given the nod after a fine effort behind Dar Re Mi over three weeks ago. She is a filly clearly on the upgrade judged by her proximity to Dar Re Mi at Newmarket and in comparison to their clash at Sandown. Brian Meehan holds this filly in the highest regard and while she has a way to go before living up to her trainers opinion of her, she is a filly who could go places before the end of the season. French raider In The Light is hard to evaluate but her victory was achieved in a good time over what looked a decent bunch of fillies at Longchamp. Cape Amber was a bitter disappointment in the Ribblesdale and the Chapple-Hyam yard continue to race with a question mark over the well-being of their string. Lady Deauville would come into the equation in softer conditions and the ground is likely to be against her today while Sweet Lily has not been spared but can be expected to run her usual solid race under her penalty. Icon Project looks the most solid proposition in what is a hotly contested race.
