Persona Grata has twice gone close in this grade in France since winning an ordinary handicap at Windsor and may prove the pick of the older fillies ahead of Provenance. The latter continues to look a tricky ride and was beaten at odds-on at Sandown last month. Lightning Thunder was second in last year's Newmarket and Irish 1000 Guineas but he ability to stay this far has to be taken on trust. SUFFUSED appears to be making giant strides and, though this is easily her toughest task to date, can complete the hat-trick as she has the beating of Maybelater on the form book and is rated 4lb higher than another improver, Chain Of Daisies. Pamona is proving hard to place and usually manages to find trouble in-running but she has stacks of ability and won't be far away. Tazffin justified market support at Goodwood and is another to consider.
