        Verdict

Both of Richard Hannon's runners are starting to look exposed and lacking progress but the trainer knows how to garner improvement from his juveniles and they are still worth consideration. Heart In Motion failed to improve on a promising debut at Wolverhampton whilst Noble Defender is related to more middle distance winners than over this shorter trip. Andrew Balding has a 30% strike-rate with juveniles here over recent seasons and a market check is advised for Chef on debut. SONGSMITH has placed in his first two starts and is respected enough to receive the nomination. He is a half-brother to a two-year-old winner over this trip and if building upon a second at Newmarket last time out, he can shed his maiden tag. Sylas Ings could be a danger, although the trainer doesn't have a brilliant record here.
